to reducing the environmental impact of natural gas and oil seep pollution on our ocean, our beaches, and our air quality, through education and awareness Our goal is to alert the public to the magnitude of natural seep pollution in the Santa Barbara Channel, and to the availability of an invaluable resource to fund environmental cleanup and develop alternative energy sources. It is through collaboration with an informed public that we can build the bridge to a healthy and sustainable future.

Bruce Allen, co-founder of SOS California will testify opposite longtime ocean advocate Ted Danson before the House Committee on Natural Resources in Washington on Wednesday (Feb. 11), regarding the "Environmental and Commercial Perspectives on Offshore Drilling." In his testimony, Allen will establish that the predominate source of hydrocarbon pollution in U.S. waters is natural oil and gas seepage, and that advances in offshore oil and gas development have significantly reduced this source of pollution in the ocean and the industry’s environmental footprint.
